Below are some frequently asked questions here at Caledonian Cabins. Should you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Do you have parking?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking available at Caledonian Cabins.

Do you need a car?
Yes, you will need a car to access the local area as there are no local taxis and the bus and train links are not local.

Do you do laundry?
We do not offer a laundry service, but there is a washing machine available for use in the log cabin.

Do you accommodate children and babies?
Yes, we have a cot, but no highchairs and we do have a selection of games in the main log cabin only.

When is check-in and can we check-out later than 10:00am?
Check-in is any time after 16:00 as you will be letting yourselves in. We cannot accommodate for later check-out times as we need to have enough to clean the cabin following your stay to the same high standard you experienced so we are ready for the next guests.

What is your smoking/ vaping policy?
Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the property at all. This includes e-cigarettes, ‘vape’ kits or any other form of alternative smoking apparatus. We also kindly ask that guests smoking outside the of our property use the sand buckets provided. An additional cleaning fee of £200 will be charged if you smoke within the house.

Do you accept dogs?
We are happy to accept a maximum of 2 well-behaved dogs, subject to our Doggy House Rules.

Do you have WIFI
Yes, we now have free WIFI throughout the site, inside and outside too.

What are you doing to regarding Covid 19
For your well being, please be assured that we are undertaking all the necessary extra cleaning processes to ensure that your stay will be as safe as possible.
There is a hand sanitiser at the door, anti bacterial soap, spray cleaner and blue disposable tissue are also available for your use. All linen and towels are cleaned by a commercial laundry.

Is there a BBQ?
Yes, we have a large quality gas BBQ and wood fired pizza oven available for use at the log cabin and just a BBQ at the Shepherds Hut and Bunk House. There is an outdoor kitchen/fire pit in the woodlands for all guests to use too.

I have a special occasion, can you help me organise something special?
We would love to make your stay even more special here at the cabin. If it’s a birthday, wedding proposal, engagement, wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or any other celebration please do get in touch with as much notice as possible. Simply let us know when you book and we will try and arrange something for you to suit your budget.

Do you have any extra beds?
No.

How close is the Shepherds Hut and Bunkhouse to the log cabin?
The Shepherds hut is about 30m to the rear of the cabin in the woodlands.
The bunkhouse is adjacent to the log cabin as it was originally intended to be a garage.

Can guests from the Bunk House use the hot tub at the cabin?
The bunkhouse guests can only use the hot tub for the log cabin if they are a part of the same group who are renting the cabin.
